Bioland ist he leading organic cultivators’ association in Germany. The manner of Bioland’s farms’ and businesses’ economical activity is based on circular flows – without pesticides and soluble artificial fertilizers. This enables environmental compatible food production.

The foundation stone for organic-ecological operating that is developed further by Bioland was put by pioneers over 50 years ago.

Benedictine Abbey Plankstetten

Plankstettener beers are brewed in cooperation with the Benedictine Abbey Plankstetten as raw materials come from the organic operating monastry. As for example spelt that was already described as healty, beneficial and salubrious by holy Hildegard of Bingen.

For Plankstettener Dinkel (spelt beer) we use only non-crossed Oberkulmer Rotkorn.
